An Analysis of the Identity Crisis in the Novel "Ana Ahya" Based on Erik Erikson's psychological theory

Abstract

Man has always sought to find his original identity and answer the questions "Who am I?", "What is the purpose of life?" to answer; Therefore, the discussion of identity and identity crisis has become very important in the present era. The novel is a suitable platform for dealing with human problems, and since Lili Baalbaki, the author of the novel "Ena Ahya" reflected this issue in her work, the authors have investigated it. In this article, the authors try to describe the general atmosphere that governs the story, and deal with the causes of the identity crisis in the main character of the novel with analytical-description method and relying on Erikson's theory in the field of personality in individual, family and social dimensions. A means of revealing a social reality that existed in the author's society and that he dealt with in the form of a novel. The results indicate that among the consequences of the identity crisis that is evident in Lina's personality in the individual dimension, we can mention the feeling of emptiness and wandering, anxiety, fear and inability to make decisions for the future. In the social dimension, he has inferiority complex, conflict and abnormal behavior. In the family dimension, a deep gap has been created between him and his family members, which is caused by his humiliation and neglect.

تحلیل أزمة الهویة فی روایة "أنا أحیا"بناءً على نظریة علم النفس لإریک إریکسون

لقد کان الإنسان دائماً یسعى إلى البحث عن هویته الحقیقیة، والإجابة على أسئلة مثل "من أنا؟" و "ما هو هدف الحیاة؟"؛ لذا أصبح موضوع الهویة وأزمة الهویة فی العصر الحالی ذا أهمیة کبیرة. وقد سلط إریک إریکسون الضوء على مفهوم "أزمة الهویة" من خلال تقدیم نموذج نمو نفسی واجتماعی یتکون من ثمانی مراحل، حیث أبرز الدور المحوری للمرحلة الخامسة، وهی "تشکیل الهویة". ومن أبرز السیاقات المناسبة لمعالجة مشکلات الإنسان وأزماته هی الروایة، ونظراً لأن لیلى بعلبکی، کاتبة روایة "أنا أحیا"، قد عکست قضیة أزمة الهویة بشکل جید فی عملها، قمنا بدراسة هذا الموضوع. فی هذا البحث، تم تحلیل أسباب ظهور أزمة الهویة فی شخصیة الروایة باستخدام المنهج الوصفی التحلیلی، بناءً على الإطار النظری لإریکسون. تم هذه التحلیلات بهدف توضیح عملیة تشکیل الهویة الفردیة فی تفاعل مع العوامل الأسریة والاجتماعیة، وفی السیاق العام للعمل الأدبی، للکشف عن واقع اجتماعی کان موجودًا فی مجتمع الکاتبة والذی تم تناوله فی قالب الروایة. تشیر النتائج إلى أن من بین عواقب الأزمة الهویة التی تجلت فی البعد الفردی لشخصیة لیلى، یمکن الإشارة إلى مشاعر الفراغ والتشتت، والقلق، والخوف، والعجز عن اتخاذ القرار بشأن المستقبل. وفی البعد الاجتماعی، تعانی أیضًا من عقدة النقص، والصراع، والسلوکیات المنحرفة. أما فی البعد العائلی، فقد تم إنشاء فجوة عمیقة بینها وبین أفراد عائلتها، ناتجة عن الإذلال والتجاهل لها.
