Peer Review and Publication Process
The Arabic Prose Studies journal follows a rigorous double-blind peer review system to ensure the highest standards of academic integrity. In this process, the identities of both authors and reviewers remain anonymous to ensure unbiased evaluation.
Only manuscripts that pass the initial editorial screening and meet the journal’s scope and basic requirements are sent for peer review.
- Initial Submission and Screening
- Manuscript submission through the online system
- Preliminary check by the editorial office and Editor-in-Chief (within one week)
- Assessment of relevance to the journal scope and compliance with author guidelines
- Editorial decision:
- Send to peer review
- Request preliminary revisions
- Desk rejection due to irrelevance or insufficient quality
- Double‑Blind Peer Review
- Assignment to two expert reviewers
- Possible review outcomes:
- Accept
- Reject
- Minor or major revisions
If one reviewer recommends rejection and the other suggests revisions, the manuscript is referred to a third reviewer.
- Authors’ Revisions
- Review reports sent to the authors
- Revised manuscript evaluated by comparison reviewers
- Possible outcomes:
- Acceptance of revisions
- Request for further revisions
- Rejection due to inadequate revisions
Upon satisfactory revisions, the manuscript proceeds to the final stage.
