Abstract

Imagologie one of the important branches of comparative literature, by examining another image in the text, it helps to know nations and ethnic groups from each other. And another hidden in the text through the analysis of the underlying layers of the images that the author describes  becomes obvious. Culture is one of the important concepts for understanding other nations in texts. It is especially in cultural and travel travelogues. who closely witness the morals and customs of the people. In recent research, with the descriptive-analytical method, the most important cultural concepts for understanding the West in the travelogue of "Europe on the Rocks of Sicily", which was also important according to the author of the book. It has been examined by providing examples of travelogue text; And then the type of communication and the author's point of view is expressed in the face of this type. Shafiq Jabri , with his eastern self, facing the other of the west, faces cultural differences, and his biggest reaction is to overcome feelings of fear, loneliness, and surprise. Of course, sometimes he also feels happy. and he leans towards the western culture, but this feeling is very unstable in him and he feels a kind of alienation and loneliness in himself and believes that his eastern self will never be able to adapt to another western culture. He considers the West to be a mystery.

Abstract [العربیة]

تساعد علم الصورة، باعتبارها فرعاً مهماً من الأدب المقارن، على تعرف الأمم والشعوب بعضها البعض من خلال فحص صورة الآخر. یتم الکشف عن الآخر المخفی فی النص من تحلیل الدلالات الخفیة للصور التی وصفها المؤلف. تعتبر الثقافة إحدى المفاهیم المهمة للتعرف على الدول والأمم والشعوب الأخرى فی النصوص وخاصة فی الرحلات الثقافیة والسیاحیة، والتی تشهد عن کثب أخلاق الناس وتقالیدهم وعاداتهم ودیاناتهم. فی هذه الدراسة، تم فحص أهم المفاهیم الثقافیة لمعرفة الغرب فی "رحلة إلی أوروبّا عَلَی صُخُور صِقِلیَّة" لشفیق جبری والتی کانت مهمة أیضاً فی رأی المؤلف، من خلال تقدیم أمثلة من نص الکتاب. ومن ثم یتم التعبیر عن نوع التواصل والمنظور الذی عبر عنه المؤلف فی مواجهة هذا النوع من الثقافة فی رحلته إلى الغرب. یواجه شفیق جبری بذاته الشرقیة، الغربی آخر بالإختلافات الثقافیة، والتی یکون رد فعله الأکبر علیها هو الشعور بالخوف و الوحدة والدهشة؛ وبالطبع، یشعر أحیاناً بالسعادة أیضاً. وقد یمیل إلى الثقافة الغربیة؛ ولکن هذا الشعور غیر مستقر لدیه، و مرة أخرى یشعر بالحنین إلى الوطن و الوحدة. المؤلف فی هذه الرحلة یعتقد أنَّ ذاته الشرقیة لن تتمکن أبداً من الإنسجام مع ثقافة الغربی الآخر. هو یعتبر الغرب سراً من الأسرار و لغزا من الألغاز. هذا النوع من النظرة فیه یظهر مدى انتمائه لذاته الشرقیة.
