In the novel Sirah al-Jou’ wa al-Shaba’ (Dilshad) by Bashari Khalfan, the names of the characters are more than just a random choice; they carry cultural, social, and symbolic connotations and establish a meaningful connection with the historical and ethnic context. The present study uses a descriptive-analytical approach to examine the names of the main and secondary characters in this novel and attempts to explain the relationship between the names, the roles of the characters, and the overall chain of narrative events. For this purpose, the characters were first selected based on their level of influence in advancing the narrative, and then their names were analyzed in relation to the novel’s subject, social atmosphere, ethnic diversity, and semantic layers of the text. The results of the study show that the auditory diversity of names and the reflection of ethnic diversity in the novel's narrative society have led to the formation of a diverse range of characters, and naming has served as a narrative tool in highlighting different social identities and voices. Also, the choice of names is consistent with the role of the story's actors and the path of narrative developments, and helps to strengthen the symbolic and semantic load of the work. This study ultimately answers the questions of what are the most important symbolic . نام‌گذاری شخصیت‌ها یکی از عناصر معنادار در ساختار روایی رمان به شمار می‌آید و می‌تواند در انتقال مفاهیم، بازنمایی هویت‌ها و جهت‌دهی به روند روایت نقشی تعیین‌کننده داشته باشد. در رمان سیره الجوع و الشبع (دلشاد) اثر بشری خلفان، نام شخصیت‌ها فراتر از یک انتخاب تصادفی، حامل دلالت‌های فرهنگی، اجتماعی و نمادین‌اند و با بافت تاریخی و قومیتی اثر پیوندی معنادار برقرار می‌کنند. پژوهش حاضر با رویکردی توصیفی ـ تحلیلی به بررسی نام شخصیت‌های اصلی و فرعی این رمان می‌پردازد و می‌کوشد نسبت میان نام‌ها، نقش شخصیت‌ها و زنجیره کلی رویدادهای روایی را تبیین کند. بدین منظور، ابتدا شخصیت‌ها بر اساس میزان تأثیرگذاری در پیشبرد روایت انتخاب شده، سپس نام‌های آنان در ارتباط با موضوع رمان، فضای اجتماعی، تنوع قومیتی و لایه‌های معنایی متن تحلیل شده است. نتایج پژوهش نشان می‌دهد که تنوع شنیداری نام‌ها و بازتاب گوناگونی قومیت‌ها در جامعه روایی رمان، به شکل‌گیری طیفی متنوع از شخصیت‌ها انجامیده و نام‌گذاری به‌مثابه ابزاری روایی در برجسته‌سازی هویت‌ها و صداهای مختلف اجتماعی عمل کرده است. همچنین انتخاب نام‌ها با نقش کنش‌گران داستان و مسیر تحولات روایی همخوانی دارد و به تقویت بار نمادین و معنایی اثر یاری می‌رساند. این پژوهش در نهایت به این پرسش‌ها پاسخ می‌دهد که مهم‌ترین دلالت‌های نمادین نام شخصیت‌ها چیست و چه عواملی در انتخاب آگاهانه این نام‌ها از سوی نویسنده نقش داشته است. https://nasr-pajuhi.qom.ac.ir/article_4180_f589a22c9cf5a61805c8726b94055b92.pdf
